We believe that each child is a unique creation and expression of God. We strive to meet each child with sensitivity to that uniqueness in body, soul and spirit. We behold the Christ in each child as we present them with…
• Understanding of the Five Unity Principles and how to relate them to their lives, their families, friends and community;
• Introducing Hebrew and Christian Bible stories through story-telling, songs and creative expression (drama/role-play/art);
• Learning how to center themselves in prayer and meditation.
In teaching, we elicit the innate wisdom in each child, drawing from them the God-Intelligence already present. We recognize the reciprocity in learning. On the journey of life, children and adults are co-travelers. Parents are encouraged to become involved in their children’s spiritual education by volunteering in their child’s classrooms or offering a particular gift or talent to share with the children.
Children on The Quest: A Living Curriculum
The vision of a living curriculum is to empower children and youth to use their spiritual wisdom to fulfill their soul’s purpose; to empower parents to see themselves as the prime spiritual educators of their children and youth; to empower facilitators to see education as a process, through which they effectively support the unfolding of the child’s spiritual nature and model the living of the spiritual community who desires to be participants in the process; assisting individuals in developing skills at living spiritual principles.
