Small Group Ministries

Unity of Richmond Small Group Ministries

Whether you’re visiting us here for the first time or have been attending services regularly for a long while, we invite you to connect with others through our Small Group Ministry Program. Through joining a small group, you can make new friends who share your interests and participate in meaningful service projects.

Interested in creative writing, exercise, landscaping, books, prison ministry, outreach? The following small group ministries are developing programs and service opportunities for people of like interests. We invite you to experience one or more of these groups, to find your right place, and to enjoy your new connections at Unity of Richmond! Request more information or sign up now.

Fellowship opportunities to  cook, perform, create
Prayer is the cornerstone of our Unity Movement and it is the cornerstone at Unity of Richmond. We have developed a model for spiritual discernment and leadership through our program development. We know the power of community when we come together in service and develop programs through Prayer. In the space of spirit, we then can discern the most effective ideas to implement and answer the call, “What is mine to do?” Through this process we experience prosperity. We know the abundance available to us and attract the right people, materials, tools and perform the actions necessary for program development. We learn to lead and work together using a spiritual, introspective model. What some might call work becomes joyous action and celebration as we create and play in the flow of program development.

Team activities for our small group ministries include:

  • The Gala dinner team – supports church congregants in hosting dinner parties at church or in their homes for others to purchase tickets and enjoy an exquisite night of dining and fellowship.
  • The Coffee House team – hosts an evening of coffee, deserts and talent. Local and congregant entertainers enjoy this evening of fun and production.
  • Unity Holiday Festival – a November festival featuring Wreaths and Christmas décor, vendors with a variety of wares, a Silent Auction to include iron works and travel opportunities, Chili, Brunswick Stew and Pies. The week-end features many items for sale and a festive community atmosphere for all to enjoy.
  • The PowerPoint team – gets a preview of Sunday messages and gets to create visuals to support the message.
