The Parables — Metaphysically Speaking

Sunday Messages for October —

The Parables of Jesus can be found in the gospels of Mathew, Mark and Luke, the three Synoptic Gospels. These parables seem simple, although the messages they convey are central to the teachings of Jesus and, when metaphysically interpreted, are positive, practical and progressive.

Join us for a service at 9 or 11 a.m. as we explore the parables.

October 8 — Two Sons and a Father
The parable of the Prodigal Son is not only about the son who returned but also includes the father’s love for both sons and the family dynamics created by the returning son.

October 15 — The Sower of Seeds and Weeds
Each of us is continually sowing new thoughts. How we nurture our thoughts determines the quality of our relationships and our evolution in consciousness. Sowing thoughts on fertile ground provides the roots for wholeness.

October 22 — The Kingdom of Heaven Is Like…
Jesus shared a number of parables where he said, “The kingdom of heaven is like…” a mustard seed or yeast or a pearl of great value. Where does your kingdom of heaven show up?

October 29 — Being a Good Samaritan
Our youth will join us as we use the parable of the Good Samaritan to explore how we are good Samaritans in today’s world.
